Originally designed and built by Czechoslovakia as the LT vz. 38, this tank was incorporated into the Wehrmacht's arsenal after Germany's occupation of Czechoslovakia in 1939. The "t" in its designation stands for "tschechisch," the German word for "Czech." The Ausf. F (Ausführung F) was one of the later production models of the Panzer 38(t), with various improvements over earlier versions.
