Its smaller size allows for easier transportation and maneuverability in confined spaces. The primary armament of the ZTQ-15 is a 105mm rifled gun, which is smaller than the guns typically found on heavier main battle tanks but still provides significant firepower. It can fire a variety of ammunition types including armor-piercing fin-stabilized discarding sabot (APFSDS) rounds and high-explosive anti-tank (HEAT) rounds.
